What this book is about

This Destiny 1 Grimoire book covers the Cabal, the disciplined military force you fought across Mars. It opens with field notes on each unit type, from Legionaries and Centurions to Colossi, Psions and Phalanxes, then profiles the Cabal formations: the weary Sand Eaters, Dust Giants, Siege Dancers, the Blind Legion locked in war with the Vex, and the Skyburner fleet over Phobos.

A Vanguard report then tallies the Cabal leaders already killed and warns that the Empire will have to respond. A stranded Ghost spies inside the Warbase, sees a hologram of a golden planet cracking apart, and suspects the Cabal are fleeing something.

The last fragments shift to the Cabal side. Primus Ta'aun holds the line against the Vex while weighing an order from the Emperor that his bond brother calls mad. A Skyburner intelligence report closes the book with a dry analysis of why Guardians keep winning.

The Cabal

Tactically efficient, disciplined, and unrelenting, the Cabal are the greatest known military force in the system. Their origins and ultimate objectives are a mystery, but it seems clear they have conquered more worlds than humanity has ever known.

Cabal soldiers wear pressurized armor that replicates the environment of their high-gravity homeworld. Their field tactics depend on ranks of Legionaries supported by air power, elite infantry, and ultra-heavy armor.
