SUBJ: Salvage Incident #19283

INCIDENT SUMMARY:

- Joint salvage operation with the Empress's operatives aboard the Glykon Volatus ended in catastrophic mission failure just under three hours into deployment. No salvage recovered. Glykon Volatus destroyed.

- Allied operatives Syox, Ogtroc, and Arzix were eliminated by an unknown assailant aboard the derelict. PHO-823 and her Ghost are confirmed deceased, as are MAR-615 and his Ghost.

As a Hunter, it never really fell to me in our fireteam to log our reports. Our Warlock, Phoebe, always took charge of that. However, she's not here, and neither is our Titan, Marshall. It falls to me to submit this report along with the footage, though I am still unsure just what we encountered aboard that ship.

With the recent decline in system-wide incidents in the years following the death of the Witness, our fireteam was tasked with assisting an allied unit of Psion operatives in their assessment of the derelict carrier, Glykon Volatus. The Cabal expressed interest in determining whether the carrier was salvageable. With the fall of Torobatl, I can understand their interest in fielding as many vessels as possible if the Cabal are ever to retake their former capital.

Given the reported remains of a rogue Lightbearer, identified by VIP #2014 during their incursion aboard the ship years prior, recovery of the remains for reburial elsewhere was deemed necessary if the Glykon was considered fit to re-enter service.

Teams deployed via Hawk and Harvester dropships into the port-side hangar after the vessel's doors were found ajar. PHO-823 accompanied the Psion operatives to survey the ship, while MAR-615 and I made our way to the bridge to recover the remains.

It became apparent almost immediately that the vessel's anomalous nature had not diminished. I have included footage of the incident in the attachments. I only hope the souls of my fireteam are in a better place. Ivy-3, signing off.
