The Red Sea Rift

The Red Sea Rift is an ore-rich desert rift in Africa, littered with sunken ships and the wreck of a Vex Sentinel. The Cabal Sand Eaters and the Vex fight over it. Lord Gareth once ruled it; it passed to Saladin.

In Firebase Minos the Cabal run the Grand Mine and the Foundry from their Citadel, and they built the Minos Cannon to break Veridia's barrier of Light. In Veridia Forest stands the town of Veridia, built inside a wrecked cargo ship, along with the Weathered Caves and the Nexus Interface, a doorway into the Vex Network.

In Season 4 a new frontier of the Rift opened, which the official site calls the Boneyard and Destinypedia's timeline calls the Exclusion Zone. Through it lies Elivagar, the lair of the Ahamkara Njorun.
