What this book is about

This book is a field guide to the forces standing against the Lightbearers in Destiny: Rising. You move through each faction in turn: the Fallen House of Devils looting Golden Age technology in Jiangshi Metro under Archpriest Issakis, and the Cabal Sand Eaters besieging Veridia from Firebase Minos in pursuit of Radiancite, a metal that holds Light.

From there you meet the Vex, pushing into the Red Sea Rift under an Axis Mind called Zephyrus, and the Hidden Swarm of the Hive waiting beneath Jiangshi's Icy Lake. Along the way you learn which threats shaped particular seasons, including a trial the Nine conjured around Crota, the Eater of Hope.

The book closes on a different kind of enemy, the one tied to Season 4, whose power reaches past the battlefield and into the timeline itself.

The Fallen

In Jiangshi Metro the Fallen House of Devils hold the ruins, and their Splicers, led by Archpriest Issakis, loot Golden Age technology. They turned the Eclipse Monolith into a fortress and the weather station into the Fulminator.
