What this book is about

This Destiny 1 Grimoire page covers Jupiter, the giant planet the City knows almost nothing about. It describes Jupiter and its moons as likely central to Golden Age civilization, yet what humans actually built there is now lost. Old records mention cities in ice and oceans that span whole worlds, though the page wonders whether this is only poetry. You also learn that the City's ships have rarely tried to reach Jupiter or go farther.

The second entry, a Ghost Fragment titled "Dreams of Alpha Lupi," changes voice entirely. It reads like a dreamlike reflection on reshaping worlds: heavy bodies nudged into warmer orbits, seafloors breaking through icy crusts, new worlds stirring in deep waters. It ends with an image of homes built around a storm-torn planet, hinting at what that lost Golden Age effort may have looked like.

Jupiter

Lord of worlds, massive Jupiter and its moons must have been a cornerstone of Golden Age civilization. But the nature and extent of human presence there is now unknown. Old records refer to cities in ice and world-spanning oceans, but perhaps this is only poetry.

The City's ships have rarely attempted any journey to Jupiter or beyond.
