What this book is about
This Destiny 1 Grimoire book covers the Moon, where humanity first faced the Hive and lost a war. You get an overview of the Ocean of Storms, site of what most believe was the first off-Earth colony, and the place where Crota's legions drove the City off the Moon. A formal order from the City Consensus and the Vanguard declares an interdiction on the Moon, ending organized combat there.
The fragments then turn personal. A recording from Lunar Station: First Light follows a survivor of a sub-lunar expedition, lost in the tunnels with failing oxygen, describing giant worms, the Circle of Bones and the Chamber of Night.
The last entries concern a doomed fireteam that went down the Hellmouth after Crota. You hear from Toland, who met Ir Yût and now drifts through a strange Hive realm, and from Eriana-3, writing a confession to a fallen friend named Wei.

Moon
Earth's Moon was where we first faced the terror of the Hive, and it soon became the battlefield of a great war - one we did not win. In the years since, the Hive have ripped the Moon's surface apart, opening chasms that swarm with terrors.
