What this book is about
This Destiny 1 Grimoire book collects short profiles of the people and frames you meet in the Tower and beyond. It opens with the Speaker and the three Vanguard leaders, Zavala, Cayde-6 and Ikora Rey, then moves through Lord Shaxx, the faction representatives of the Future War Cult, Dead Orbit and New Monarchy, and the vendors who keep Guardians supplied, from Master Rahool to Banshee-44 and the enigmatic Xûr.
Along the way you learn how Cayde ended up behind a desk after the Vanguard Dare, why Shaxx stays in the City after the Twilight Gap, and how Arcite 99-40 was once a combat frame. Eris Morn's survival in the Hellmouth and her work for Ikora's Hidden get their own entry.
Later pages turn to the Iron Temple and the SIVA Crisis, introducing Tyra Karn, Shiro-4, a legendary Iron Lord with a surprising story, and the frames who tend the temple's wolves.

The Speaker
There has always been a Speaker, an anonymous high priest with a mysterious and powerful connection to the Traveler and its Ghosts. In all the centuries of the City's history, the Speaker's great work has never changed - to guide new Guardians, heal the Traveler, and raise our crippled protector from its slumber.
