Again

Vengeance can be satisfied grief cannot

Bear found Saint alone. The Titan sat quietly, hands resting against his knees. Bear waited. Then:

"Did it help?"

Saint's helmet turned slightly.

"For a moment."

Bear looked toward the chamber behind them. Savathûn had died there. Immaru had brought her back. Saint had killed her again. And again.

"I thought you'd feel better."

"So did I."

Saint stared ahead.

"When she rose, I remembered what she did to Osiris."

Bear lowered his voice.

"So why keep doing it?"

"Because anger asks very simple things of us."

"And grief?"

Saint's shoulders sank.

"Grief asks us to continue."

Cate chirped nearby. Saint glanced toward her.

"Keep her close."

Bear nodded.

"I do."

Saint stood. Bear looked once toward the chamber.

"How many times does it take for it to get easier?"

Saint paused.

"It does not."
